The inspiration for this image was one of the film posters for Disney's The Little Mermaid.
The mermaid is a poser figure created by DAZ3D, rendered in Bryce, then composited onto a separately rendered background in Photoshop.
The shadow in the water, bubbles & rim-light are all separate elements. There are in over 20 layers in this image.
